Locomotive D6552 / 33034

Class 33 1550HP Bo-Bo, Built by Birmingham Railway Carriage & Wagon Company, works number DEL144 of 1961.

33034 entered service at Hither Green in 1961 and became one of the first class 33's preserved after withdrawal in 1988. In 1990 the loco was moved to Ludgershall where some remedial work was undertaken.

In 1999 the loco was sold on and moved to the Swanage Railway. During 2007 a decision was taken to strip the loco of re-usable components, it was finally scrapped at Norden in 2013.
