Class 33 1550HP Bo-Bo, Built by Birmingham Railway Carriage & Wagon Company, works number DEL164 of 1962.
33208 Parked up at Hoo Junction - 10th April 1987 - Photo: Jon Biglowe 33208 entered service at Hither Green in 1962 and was withdrawn by EWS from Stewarts Lane in 1997. It was purchased by the Mid Hants Railway in May 1997, managed and maintained by the 71A Locomotive Group. In Novemember 1997 it became the first preserved Class 33 to return to the mainline. It worked several tours and even regular passenger services between Cardiff and Rhymney in 1998. In 2001 the locomotive maintenance and management was taken over by the Mid Hants Railway. It was sold by the MHR in March 2010 and moved to Shackerstone. July 2024 saw it sold again, and the locomotive now resides at Worksop.
